We are launching this blog for a feature film. Yes, that's right, we are making a MOVIE! Yippee!
What is the movie about?
"Phir Anand" is an Indian independent film. The story - well, for now, shhh...that's a secret:). The movie is set in the San Francisco Bay area circa 2010-12 and features, well, you guessed right, NRIs.
No, these are not the flashy NRIs that are typically shown in mainstream Bollywood movies. And, we will not make the beautiful Bay area just a 'foreign location'.
Anyone who has lived abroad for a length of time knows that NRIs are normal people who slog at work, have fun, fight with their families and go grocery shopping.
They deal with personal and professional troubles and raise kids, all the while wanting to stay Indian, yet be a world citizen.
Our film's main characters are some such folks and the twists and turns that fate brings into their lives.
Who are we?
We are a group of amateur actors, screenwriters and others who are movie buffs and we ache to tell a good story.
What/who we are looking for?
Like any other endeavor, we need participants. If you are passionate about movies, have always dreamed of being a part of one and did not know how, feel that you have the talent, then please keep reading. Do check out our post on casting. It is an open casting call for actors, editors, camera people, producers, directors and everyone in between.
Of course, even if you don't have an interest in being involved, you are welcome here:).
